So I have made it to the end of the term. My composition class taught me quite a bit about my fellow classmates. It was great to meet all of them online and through the blogs. Never did I think I would have a blog and not real sure if I am going to keep it. Time will tell.
Thanks to all of you that have taken the time to follow my blog and special thanks to Diane, our instructor. You made this term much easier and it flew by. Good luck to everyone as they further their career decisions and education. I look forward to seeing many of you in my upcoming terms.
Sandy

Empty Nest
Hi everyone:
This has been an emotional week for me, my baby girl left for college. Her Dad drove from CO to CA to pick her up and drive her to AZ. So not only did I have to say goodbye to my daughter, I had to see my ex-husband. But it was all good. She is safely in her dorm at NAU and happy to be starting her life. We have been on the phone quite a bit and she is sending pics of her room.
Our blog topic for this week is whether or not we will continue with our blog after this term is over. I have to honestly say, I am not sure one way or another. I have enjoyed getting to "know" my classmates and see how others are handling the online schooling along with everything else life throws at you. I am addicted to facebook and can find out different things on those pages. I have friends that are both classmates and friends on both. So who knows? We will see. Have a great week everyone and see you in seminar.

Just another day in Paradise
Hi all, this has been the week from hell - wait, I already had one of those. Oh well, had 3 immediate members of my family in the hospital in 3 different states and I think they are all doing better now. My Mother lives with me and is the oldest of the 4 siblings left. She will be 86 in Nov. and is amazingly the most healthy of all. Her 2 brothers and 1 sister were the ones in the hospital. So to be on the safe side, I made her go lay down, put her feet up, and just take it easy. I wasn't going to take any chances. The other 3 all went to the hospital with very low blood pressures. 2 are doing pretty good and the other is holding her own. Scared the heck out of me though. As you can probobly tell, we are a very, very close family, just spread across from Maine to South Dakota to Nevada to California. Thank the lord for text messaging and cell phones. The cousins all kept in touch. Oh well, that was my week and it is not over yet. Oh Joy! I think I will have Mom stay in bed tomorrow, just to be on the safe side. lol Have a great week all!

The Week is Never Over
So another week has gone by and it doesn't seem to end. Moving is such a stressful time, getting everything into a place that it can be found again before you move the next time. The one good thing is meeting new neighbors, and I am very lucky to have some wonderful people next to me. They are very helpful and friendly and I feel very blessed to have met them. How was your week?

Moving Week
What an unbelievable week this has been. I have been moving and trying to fit everything into my schedule and it has not worked very well. I am behind in homework for both of my classes and still looking for things that are somewhere in space. lol I know we are supposed to write about about classes, but I have barely begun to read my chapters and it's TUESDAY. Well, to work I go. I will get it done, just not as good as I hope. Have a great week all!

New Week
This blogger thing is really new to me, but it proving to be a lot of fun. I like to see my classmates blog's and how new it is for most of them also. Trying to get ready for a move to downtown San Diego when my son arrives from Colorado. Very exciting and can't wait to spend some time with him again.

About Me
My name is Sandy and I live in San Diego County. I think it is a wonderful place to live but also very expensive. I guess you have to pay to live in paradise, but at what price? That has yet to be determined. I would miss the ocean tremendously if I leave, so the job market needs to open up. I have 2 of the most wonderful children and am very blessed that I was picked to be their Mother. My daughter, 18, is getting ready to leave for college at Northern Arizona University (Go Lumberjacks) and my son, 24, is moving back to San Diego and has offered my Mother and I a place to live until I get back on my feet. I take care of my Mother, who is 85 years young and has been diagnosed with stage 4 kidney disease. That doesn't stop her and we have a lot of fun and laughs together. I have been very blessed with having friends and family help me out since I was laid off almost 2 years ago. I love to read, swim, garden, shop and many things I can't think of. Writing has never been my thing, that's up to my daughter who is looking for a way to publish her first novel while working on two more. It will happen, I am sure. I am a true believer in karma and know everything will be ok in my life, if I let it happen as it should. Please feel free to leave messages or comments.
